Hello Vassar Rugby Former Players, Friends, Family, and Groupies,
For those of you who I don’t know: My name is Dani, I graduated in
2009, and I captained the women’s side. I write to you about a very
important upcoming event: VASSAR FOUNDER’S DAY 2010 ALUMNI GAMES.
Saturday May 1, 2010.
As all of you know, the Founder’s Day alumni games are a special
tradition for the Vassar Rugby program. And, as many of you know, this
has been a challenging year for the program (both on and off the
field). With massive school-wide budget cuts and fewer players on both
the women’s and men’s squads, the rugby program needs our support. So,
this year in particular we must come out in droves and show unyielding
loyalty to this incredible program. Bring the cleats, mouthguards,
muscle-milk, babies, etc, and get out to the farm on May 1st.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR WOMEN ALUM: This year’s dwindling women’s squad needs
to see some Vassar women’s rugby tradition in action. Get back to
campus on May 1st (no, we wont think you’re “living in the past”) so
we can show them how to play… while crushing them, of course.
Seriously, let’s show them how strong this team/family really is. Find
a way to get to Vassar on May 1, 2010! And in the meantime, hit the
gym?
SPECIAL NOTE FOR MEN ALUM: Given the chance to beat on each other, I
know you’ll all be here. You need no prompting! Cant wait to see you.
SEE EVERYONE ON MAY 1ST.
